CCleaner has been one of my favourite pieces of software for Windows for the past few years.  The first time I ran this software, over 4GB of hard disk space was freed up.  CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tools which scans your computer and detects objects that aren’t necessary so that you can clear space and ensure your PC runs smoother.

The CCleaner website boasts that by January 2010, CCleaner had been downloaded more than 375 million times.  It boasts the ability to clean files from a variety of applications, including (but not limited to):

  • Internet Explorer
  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Opera
  • Safari
  • Windows – Recycle Bin, Recent Documents, Temporary files and Log files.
  • Windows Registry
  • Various Third-party applications

The latest version adds support for cleaning Paint Shop Pro 12 and improves the detection and cleaning algorithm for Mozilla-based web browsers.  CCleaner comes very highly recommended by us at MoTooT and it can be downloaded from the link below:
